The awesome Carleen Brice wrote an equally awesome book titled, ORANGE MINT AND HONEY, which was released February 12, 2008. And the folks over at Lifetime Movie Network thought so as well and bought the movie rights to OMAH. 😀
Being Lifetime and all, they changed the title, and the movie will be called Sins of the Mother, starring Jill Scott and a host of other wonderful stars. The movie will air on Lifetime Movie Network on February 21, 2010, at 8:00 EST.
Also, Carleen has another book, CHILDREN OF THE WATERS, that was released on June 23m 2009. Be sure to pick up both books–not just because she’s my friend, but because she’s a rockin’ author. 😀

This looks awesome, and I will definitely watch it, and buy Carleen's book. For the record, her title is waaaay cooler than the TV title. They must think it was less likely to attract viewers.I'm sort of a sallow, pale green color, but I think I count for white!

I saw the preview of \”Sins of the Mother,\” but as always, I'm big about reading the book first. The storyline looked amazing. I'm glad to hear it was a book first. I love reading the books before seeing the movies.

I taped the show and watched it last week. I loved it! My favorite part is Shay constantly telling her mom to stop calling her Lashay. Every time her mom called her Lashay I would think, \”How many times does the poor girl have to tell you?!!!\”
